Contraindications for Waxing

Waxing may not be suitable for everyone. Avoid waxing if you have:

Active Skin Infections – Bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections (e.g., herpes, open wounds).
Recent Sunburn or Tanning – Recently sunburned or freshly tanned skin can be highly sensitive.
Severe Acne or Rosacea – Waxing may irritate or worsen these conditions.

Allergy to Waxing Ingredients – If allergic to beeswax, resins, or certain oils, perform a patch test first.

Pre-Waxing Instructions (Before Your Appointment)

Let Hair Grow – Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) for the best results.
Exfoliate Gently – Light exfoliation 24-48 hours before helps remove dead skin and prevent ingrown hairs.
Avoid Moisturizers & Oils – Keep skin dry and clean before waxing to ensure proper adhesion.
No Sun Exposure – Avoid tanning or sunbathing at least 48 hours before your wax.
Avoid Retinoids & Strong Skincare Products – Stop using retinol, AHA/BHA, or harsh exfoliants at least 5 days before.
Wear Loose Clothing – Tight clothing can cause irritation after waxing, especially in sensitive areas.
